....The Sufferings and the Glory began as a special section from a much larger work called The Diatessaron. It was designed as a 'mirror image' to demonstrate the fuller purpose of that book.
.
....In other words, The Sufferings and the Glory harmonizes the Messianic prophecy and provides cross-references to the New Testament; The Diatessaron harmonizes the four gospels and provides cross-references to the Messianic prophecy. It is larger because it reviews the entire life of Jesus. For information on the progress of that work, click here.

Illustrations:

....Most of the illustrations used on this blog are the work of Gustave Dore, a wonderful Alsacian (French) artist from the 19th century who specialized in book illustrations. They have been scanned and made available free online by Felix Just, S.J. His complete gallery can be viewed by cling here:
.
....When you view his gallery, you'll see that some of those scans have been modified for special use on this blog. This is the handiwork of my lovely wife Nancy, who is a suberb professional graphic artist! (Nancy has created hundreds of book covers for well-known Christian authors.) Since we freely received this art work from Dore and Professor Just, we have no problem with others using Nancy's modifications freely as well. Just give the glory to God!
